About Chesterfield Folk Club

Chesterfield's Attic Folk Club opened its doors for the first time on January 18th 2008.

The evening was a great success with over one hundred people turning up to see Dave Burland supported by the John Prentice group "A Pint, a Half and a Jill".

The Mayor enjoyed herself, the artists enjoyed themselves, the audience enjoyed itself, and the room was more than adequate and, in some people's minds provided a better atmosphere.

Our Friday Night concerts continued in the old Miner's Welfare until June 2014.  We have now moved to the Library Theatre on New Beetwell Street.

The list of currently booked events is listed to the left of this text.

Mobile Phone Usage

We respectfully draw the attention of our customers to our policy regarding mobile phones in the Library Theatre.  We don't know of anyone who leaves their phone ringtone active when at a concert!  However we would like to draw your attention to the general use of smartphones.  The bright screens can be as off putting for your fellow concert goers as a phone that rings so please avoid using your phone for any reason during a performance.
