The LOST Will and Testament of Jake Thackray, by John Watterson

John Watterson presents his new show about the late Jake Thackray.

In the course of his research, John has uncovered 15 songs written by Jake but not released, some being banned from broadcast by the BBC.

These fabulous songs – hilarious, serious, bitingly satirical -  along with never-before told stories from the biography research, plus some much loved Jake classics, feature in John’s brand new show for 2017 ‘The LOST Will and Testament of Jake Thackray’.

Our opening act for this concert will be the Americana trio "Dogwood Rose" from Sheffield.  Strong harmonies, a varied set and a lot of fun!

Tickets for young adults

We have been asked several times if we can supply concessionary tickets for young adults attending Chesterfield Folk Club concerts.  The answer is yes - for under 16's only.  The caveat is that we can only do this for tickets purchased on the door as our accounting systems for on-line, Library and TIO sales cannot currently process concessions.  Under 16's may purchase tickets at half the face value when purchased on the door.

Mobile Phone Usage

We respectfully draw the attention of our customers to our policy regarding mobile phones in the Library Theatre.  We don't know of anyone who leaves their phone ringtone active when at a concert!  However we would like to draw your attention to the general use of smartphones.  The bright screens can be as off putting for your fellow concert goers as a phone that rings so please avoid using your phone for any reason during a performance.
