David Bateson
David Bateson is appearing as a solo artist for the first time at the Chesterfield Folk Club concert on April the 18th as part of the support for Joe and Ben Broughton. Although this will be his performing debut he has been writing music for more than 30 years. In this time he has written a large number of songs, twenty-two of which appear on his first CD which has contributions from Judy Dunlop as well as many other regulars of the Attic and Chesterfield Folk Clubs. David is the Head of a Special school in Leicestershire, (to which he commutes by train), leaving him little time for his music, other than in the middle of the night, or, on holiday, as his job takes over 100 hours per week when you include on-call.
